FRONT OF HOUSE SUPERVISOR

The venue features an onsite brewhouse, private sky deck with bar, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, Texan smoker, woodfired pizza oven, and a beautiful alfresco area for long lunches.
About the role:
As a Front of House Supervisor at Boundary Island Brewery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation of our establishment. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and leadership, maintaining compliance with RSA, upholding workplace standards and overseeing the front of house during your rostered shift.
Please note this role is ongoing, starting immediately with training provided to get you ready for our busy summer season!

Duties:
• Opening and closing the venue as per procedures, including till reconciliations and processing end of day reports.
• Ensure compliance with RSA regulations at all times, including checking IDs for patrons who appear under the age of 25.
• Ensure all guests are met on arrival and warmly welcomed, shown to their table (if booked) as well as thanked upon departure, providing exceptional customer service with a calm, friendly, and attentive demeanour.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all products, including current beers, alcohol content, and percentages, and remain updated on menu’s and specials.
• Interchange between floor and bar duties as required, including clearing and wiping tables, checking on meals, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Serve drinks efficiency, correctly and accurately, particularly being able to serve the perfect craft beer.
• Work effectively in a noisy, high-pressure environment, multitasking and remaining organised with a positive attitude during busy periods.
• Checking and updating rosters for your scheduled shift to ensure staff levels are optimised.
• Approving shift timesheets.
• Receive orders and payments efficiently using POS system, demonstrating active listening skills, memory for different customer orders, and the ability to upsell.
• Receiving stock orders and putting away.
• Troubleshooting and managing grievances.
• Leading and motivating the bar and wait staff to optimise efficiency and creating a positive team environment.
• Keep the front of house clean, tidy and well organised, restocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles preferred, however training can be provided for the right applicant
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organisation in the bar and floor areas.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and take direction from managers as well as lead junior staff.
• Basic math skills and the ability to process orders and payments accurately and efficiently.
• Cocktail preparation and barista skills an asset.
• Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing business needs and work schedules.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction, and an excellent experience.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be over the age of 18 to work behind the bar area.
• Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification.
• Approved Manager card (or prepared to obtain prior to appointment)
• Current Food Safety Training Certificate.
• Nights & Weekend availability is a MUST

As a FOH Customer service member of the Boundary Island Brewery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation of our establishment. Reporting to the Front of House Manager or shift supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with RSA and upholding workplace standards
Floor Duties:
Main Duties:
- Greet all customers upon arrival and direct them to their tables if booked, providing exceptional customer service with a calm, friendly, and attentive demeanour.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of all products
- Interchange between floor and bar duties as required, including clearing and wiping tables, checking on meals, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Work effectively in a noisy, high-pressure environment, multitasking and remaining organised during busy periods.
- Perform other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the employer or management team.
Bar Duties:

- Keep the bar area clean and tidy, restocking and replenishing supplies as needed, including the takeaway fridge, and ensuring the glass area remains clean and organized.
- Work effectively in a noisy, high-pressure environment, multitasking and remaining
organized during busy periods. - Perform other incidental and peripheral duties as requested by the employer or management team.
